A documentary film on the System of Rice Intensification (SRI), a
water-saving technology for growing paddy rice that results in increased
yields among other benefits. Introduced in Kenya in 2009, over 3,000
farmers have now adopted SRI. Rice yields have increased by 30% and 25%
irrigation water has been saved among adopter farmers. This film
describes SRI practices, their benefits and how the technology is being
